What's a "unit"?
A unit is one bet's worth of your bankroll, expressed as a fixed slice instead of a dollar amount. QuroBet uses a 100-unit bankroll, where 1 unit = 1% of your roll. So if your betting bankroll is $1,000, one unit is $10. If it's $200, one unit is $2.
Why talk in units instead of dollars? Because units make every bet comparable and keep ego out of it. "I'm up 14 units" is a clean measure of decisions. "I'm up $1,400" tells you how big your wallet is, not how good your calls were. Units are about decision quality — which is the only thing you actually control.
Size to your confidence
When you cast a pick in QuroBet you tag it Low, Med, or High confidence. That tag isn't decoration — it sets the size. One honest ladder, the same for everyone:
Notice the spread is small on purpose: your strongest play is only four times your weakest, and even it risks just 2% of your roll. That's deliberate. The cap means no single call — not even the one you'd bet your house on — can take you out.
Surviving the swings, not chasing the wins
Good sizing isn't a trick to win more. It's a system to lose slower and survive longer — long enough for your edge, if you have one, to show up. Two ideas do the heavy lifting:
Variance is brutal, even when you're right. A genuinely good bettor still loses plenty of individual bets. Flat, capped sizing means a cold streak dents your roll instead of cratering it. The 2-unit ceiling is what lets you ride out a bad week and still be in the game the next one.
Chasing is how it actually ends. The bettor who doubles up to "win it back" turns a normal dip into a grave. Sizing by conviction is discipline; sizing by desperation is the most reliable way to bust. The ladder takes that decision out of the heat of the moment.
Is your confidence even real?
A sizing ladder is only worth following if your confidence is calibrated — if the games you call "High" actually win more than the ones you call "Low." Plenty of bettors are most confident exactly when they're most wrong. The only way to know which kind you are is to look at your own record.
That's the other half of this tool. The ladder here teaches the model; your scorecard in the app runs your real graded picks through that exact same 0.5/1/2u math and shows you the truth — your bankroll line in units, your deepest drawdown, and whether your High picks really outperformed your Low ones. Teach, then test.
Your ladder, at your bankroll
Units stay abstract until you see them in your own money. Enter the bankroll you'd actually bet with — this stays in your browser, nothing is sent or saved — and the ladder fills in.
See it on your own picks →
The ladder is the lesson. Your scorecard is the feedback. Cast a few calls, let them grade, and watch your bankroll line tell you whether your confidence is the real thing.
